Treatment

Osteopathic treatment stimulates circulation, enhances fascial plasticity, relaxes muscles and improves joint mobility.

There is a crazy diagram in Grays Anatomy that shows a picture of the body as it is proportionally represented in the brain. The hand is huge; in fact it is bigger than the rest of the arm, torso and leg put together. It is so sensitive that it can detect tiny changes and perform subtle movements in response.

“The hand is the ultimate treatment tool”

Osteopaths use their hands to simultaneously analyse and treat tissues.

Treatment

Monitoring changes (or not) in deep muscular fascial layers as you work with them gives the osteopath immediate feed back so that pressure and direction of treatment is constantly modified to find the point of release or balance.

There are hundreds of different applications of treatment. Even though you may have the same problem as somebody else, treatment has to find your point of release or balance. Everybody is different, but the principles stay the same.

Find it, fix it and leave it alone about says it.
